One World Trade Center Is Once Again Tallest Building In America

Eleven years after 9/11, One World Trade Center is set to reclaim the spot of the tallest building in America.

With over 37,000 tons of steel, the tower is still being erected but you can now access the 90th floor and Freedom Observation deck. Today, construction workers will add a 1,250 feet high column, just enough to peak over the roof of the observation deck on the Empire State Building.

Until the needle is added as a final step, One World Trade Center will remain the #2 building, behind the Willis Tower in Chicago.
