Shakira introduced her newborn son Milan, sharing a sweet snapshot of the 2-week-old receiving a kiss from his father, soccer star Gerard Piqué.

The photo is available through the couple’s UNICEF website, where the charity is accepting donations of $5-110 in celebration of the arrival of Milan, born Jan. 22 in Barcelona.

“We hope that, in his name, other less privileged children in the world can have their basic needs covered through gifts and donations,” the Colombian singer-songwriter, 35, and Piqué, 26, write. “Thank you for sharing this unforgettable moment with us.”

Shakira is now officially a mother.

The Colombian singer confirmed the birth of her son, Milan, via her website earlier today.

“We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué, born Jan. 22nd at 9:36 p.m., in Barcelona, Spain”

The name Milan (pronounced MEE-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification. And just like his father, baby Milan became a member of FC Barcelona at birth.”

Along with boyfriend Gerard Piqué, Shakira gave her fans a glimpse of her growing baby bump yesterday.

“I could have another 9 months like this!” The Colombian singer said.

Shakira has been busy filming promos for her new role as a judge in the upcoming season of The Voice. She will fill in as current judge, Christina Aguilera sets off to tour.

Colombian singer Shakira has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with soccer star Gerard Pique.

Shakira, 35, and Pique, a 25-year-old defender for FC Barcelona, have been an item since March 2011, but didn’t go public with the romance until a year later.  In an announcement on her website Wednesday, she told fans:

“As some of you may know, Gerard and I are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby! At this time we have decided to give priority to this unique moment in our lives and postpone all the promotional activities planned over the next few days. This means I will not be able to be a part of the iHeartRadio Music Festival, but I’m sure this weekend in Las Vegas will be spectacular and I will be closely following everything that happens there! I’d like to thank Clear Channel and my fans for their constant love and understanding. Big kiss! And will see you very soon! Shakira.”

Shakira has not revealed the baby’s gender or when she is to due to deliver.

If rumors are to be believed, Shakira’s famous hips the featured attraction in a new celebrity tape. Two of the Colombian singer’s former employees say so.

An unidentified Colombian couple, who worked for Shakira for 11 years, want six-figures to turn over the rights to a 15-minute clip that they claim is the recording artist/philanthropist in the throes of passion on a boat with FC Barcelona football player Gerard Pique. The ex-staffers allege they were unfairly dismissed after refusing to cook the singer a late-night meal.

Shakira’s legal team denies that claim, but they’re staying mum on the sex tape whispers. The couple showed the clip to a Barcelona agent, who told the Spanish magazine Interviu:

“The video lasts about 15 minutes. I guess it’s recorded with a mobile phone by an employee who was in the cockpit of the boat…I thought that it had been edited.”

Gerard Pique used to be a regular starter for Barcelona — probably the finest team in the world — but recently he’s been excluded from key games, including a recent UEFA Champions League clash.

Why? Well, some people think Shakira has something to do with it.

Reports from Spanish papers claim Barca manager Pep Guardiola is displeased with how Pique is being distracted by his relationship with the Colombian singer.

The papers say that friction first occurred when Pique posted pictures of himself vacationing with the pop star. He was seen in the photos white-water rafting, an activity forbidden by his high-flying club. Supposedly Pique has been late to training more than once this season, and has broken other team rules.

Guardiola is still mulling over whether to stay with Barcelona, but newspaper reports have suggested he’ll only stay if Pique goes.

However, there are other forces to consider. The higher-ups at Barcelona feel Pique is too valuable to lose. As a relative youngster (25) and an accomplished center-back, the club is keen to keep him, especially as fellow defender and club captain Carles Puyol (33) is entering the twilight seasons of his career.

Shakira’s brother saved her from a terrifying sea lion attack as got too close trying to take photos of the animal.

The popstar had been with a tour group and climbed down onto rocks to get closer to the mammal when it jumped out of the water and tried to bite her.

The 35-year-old said her brother Tony saved her life by jumping in front of her and helping her get away from the animal.

The pair escaped with cuts to their hands and legs as they scrambled up the rockface.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer took to her Facebook page to explain the terrifying ordeal to fans, and posted pictures of the sea lion and her injured hand.

In a piece titled ‘Special Report: Attacked by a Sea Lion,’ she explained: ‘Suddenly, one of them jumped out of the water so fast and impetuously that it got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury and tried to bite me.

‘Everyone there screamed, including me. I was paralyzed by fear and couldn’t move, I just kept eye contact with it while my brother “Super Tony” jumped over me and literally saved my life, taking me away from the beast.’

She added: ‘We both got our hands and legs scratched by the rocks while trying to protect ourselves. I believe what happened is that it confused the shiny reflection of the blackberry I was taking these pics with, with some sort of fish. It probably thought I was teasing it with food and then taking it away from it.’
