Check out “A Boy And His Atom”, the world’s smallest film.
IBM created the miniature masterpiece by manipulating thousands of carbon monoxide molecules into an animated stop-motion short. The film, which features a boy playing with an atom, was shot under a two-ton scanning tunneling microscope at -450 degrees, using an extremely sharp needle to manually move each atom one by one for 250 frames.
Cool: Listen To Alexander Graham Bell’s Voice (audio)
The Smithsonian has released a video with the recorded voice of Alexander Graham Bell for the first time
“Hear my voice, Alexander Graham Bell,” the inventor says in the recording, made in 1885 at his lab in DC. The wax disc had been in storage for more than a century, but it wasn’t until researchers developed new audio-recovery technology that Bell’s voice could be heard.
Judging by this audio, Bell really loved counting.

The End Of The World Is Here, And It Started In Russia (video)
A meteor streaked through the skies above Russia’s Urals region Friday morning, before exploding with a flash and boom that shattered glass in buildings and left hundreds of people hurt.
About 270 buildings have sustained damage — mostly broken glass — as a result of the shock waves caused by the blast, said Vladimir Stepanov, of the National Center for Emergency Situations at the Russian Interior Ministry.
Hospitals, kindergartens and schools are among those affected, he said.
Amateur video footage showed a bright white streak moving rapidly across the sky, before exploding with an even brighter flash and a deafening bang.
About 80 million trees were felled, radiating out from the center of the blast, but no crater was left.
