Mrs. Ellen DeGeneres, actress Portia de Rossi, has incensed the media in her native Australia after requesting she only be interviewed by female reporter as she promotes her recently-released memoir Unbearable Lightness: A Story of Loss and Gain, which details her struggles with eating disorders and her sexuality.

Unbearable Lightness chronicles the former model’s many years keeping her sexuality a secret:

“Hiding your sexuality is the most horrible way to live and it really does a huge disservice to society, because if everybody who was gay came out in every profession, teachers, doctors, if everybody came out and said, ‘I’m gay. Who cares?’ it would make a big impact to what’s happening with all this teenage suicide,” she said.

The lesbian actress shot to fame as Nell Porter on Ally McBeal and famously married beloved talk show host DeGeneres after a four year union in 2008, but her request for female interviewers has been met with mixed responses, with some of the biggest names in Australian media slamming de Rossi for discrimination, The Herald Sun reports.

David Koch, a TV morning show host in Sydney, was among those offended by de Rossi’s male journalist ban. Koch says he was not allowed to quiz the actress about her autobiography.

“If a male said ‘I don’t want to be interviewed by a woman’, there would be a massive outcry of discrimination,” Koch argues. “Obviously she has got issues and I feel quite sorry for her. I admire what she and Ellen have done for community tolerance and inclusiveness. But it is a real contradiction for what she stands for, which really surprises me.”

Koch’s co-host Melissa Doyle ended up speaking to Portia via satellite from her home in Los Angeles.

Willow Palin just made a sort of political debut on Facebook—and it wasn’t a pretty sight.

TMZ has screenshots that apparently show the16-year-old daughter of Sarah posting gay slurs directed to a schoolmate who attacked her mom’s new reality series. “Your so gay,” Willow snapped on Facebook, misspelling “you’re,” and later calling the boy a f**got after he said Sarah Palin’s Alaska reality series is “failing so bad.” Based “on what I’ve seen pictures of, your disgusting,” Willow commented. “My sister had a kid and is still hot.” Big sis Bristol got in on the takedown, calling the boy, identified as Tre, a “shit talker.”

Bristol added: “You’ve always been such an awkward kid. Funny how you grew balls on Facebook.” Tre responded: ” I wasn’t trying to be disrespectful to your family, but hella people don’t like” the show, “so there must be some truth to my statement.” Willow told another poster he was “effin fat as hell,” repeatedly told Facebook commenters to “stfu,” and called them “dumb asses,” “dumb shits” and “losers.” A source close to the family told TMZ that Willow doesn’t usually use gay slurs, but felt extreme measures were called for because her family was being attacked. The source categorized it as a case of a bear cub defending the mama grizzly.

Another naked-photo beauty pageant scandal has hit the web: This time it’s Miss World 2010, Alexandria Mills, who allegedly took a nude photograph of herself this summer and sent it to her then-boyfriend.

It’s now, predictably, landed in Radar Online’s hands, and the site claims it has “verified the authenticity” of it.

Star Magazine is reporting that John Mayer has shared some “hot nights” with Food Network star Giada De Laurentiis.

The married TV chef was seen canoodling with John recently at the Boom Boom Room in New York. Eyewitnesses at the joint noticed John’s hand traveling the small of her back and the source commented that they “looked like two people who were going to go home together.”

Another eyewitness allegedly saw the pair at the nearby Hotel Gansevoort later that night, where they disappeared into a suite together.

Giada didn’t deny being in the hotel that night. She admitted to Star that she stayed at the hotel, but swore that she didn’t even see John on the night in question. She added: “I just like his music. That’s all.” … We are having Jennifer Aniston flashbacks here.

Emma Watson is not pleased with college classmates at Brown University who emailed around a photo of her standing topless in a towel next to a hot tub.

Her problem? The 20-year-old millionaire insists the pic is a fake, just like all the other ones to have popped up on the internet recently.

Snoopsters close to Emma say the pixie-topped starlet is getting pretty sick and tired of all these dodgy nudie snaps.

The porn star who was locked naked in a cupboard by Charlie Sheen is planning to sue.

Capri Anderson claims she feared for her life when the sitcom star flew into a drug-fueled rage after a night out on Tuesday.

Police were called to the suite at New York’s Plaza Hotel after the actor went on the rampage, causing $8,000 of damage.

The 22-year-old was allegedly trapped in his hotel suite after refusing to have sex with him because he still owed her a $12,000 escort fee.

Witnesses also claimed the troubled actor had been found naked in the toilet with cocaine smeared all over his face.

After arriving at the hotel, police took him to a nearby psychiatric hospital and he was released the following day.

No charges were brought against him.

TMZ Reports: This is refreshing … Tila Tequila just convinced a judge someone was harassing her, because she just won a restraining order against a photog who claimed Tila kidnapped his alleged girlfriend.

According to docs filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Tila wanted Garry Sun ordered to stay 100 yards away from her … but the judge said 10 yards would do. That’s funny on so many levels.

As we first reported yesterday, Garry filed an application for a restraining against Tila — claiming she kidnapped his so-called girlfriend Shyla Jennings on October 19 and then threatened to kill him.

Shyla has since told us Garry’s claims are totally BS … and that she has “no idea who Garry Sun is.”

UPDATE: Tila tells TMZ she’s also preparing to file a lawsuit against Sun for “making such crazy allegations about me.”

Brett Favre reportedly has admitted to league investigators that he left voicemails for Jenn Sterger—but insists he didn’t send her lewd photos. The news comes from Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer, who did not reveal who passed on the information to him. It’s definitely an in-the-news weekend for Favre … and his member.
