The Shockers crushed Bradley 73-39 on Saturday. Nick Wiggins scored 12 points and fueled a 16-0 run in the second half with three 3-pointers as Wichita State completed a regular-season sweep of Bradley. After a sluggish start, Wichita State shot 51 percent from the field (26 of 51) and limited Bradley to 32 percent.

Indiana State (13-7, 6-3) beat Northern Iowa 59-58 on Saturday. Jake Odum’s two free throws with 0.3 seconds left gave Indiana State the win. Northern Iowa had gone ahead 58-57 on Anthony James’ jumper with 3.3 seconds to play. After a timeout, Odum attempted a desperation 3-pointer but was fouled by Jake Koch. Odum missed the first free throw but made the next two, and Northern Iowa couldn’t get off another shot. Odum led the Sycamores with 16 points, seven rebounds and five assists, pulling within 45 points of 1,000 for his career. RJ Mahurin added 14 points and Manny Arop had 10.

Due to the circumstances surrounded the end of the game, a pool reporter was sent into the officials locker room for comment. The following is the statement from lead official Daniel Chrisman:

“There was a foul called in the act of shooting. We were going to the monitor to check two things. First of all, whether it was a three. And whether time had expired or what the time was left. We determined that it was a three and there was :00.3 left on the clock which is how it ended.”

Indiana State is 0-4 against ranked teams this year, losing to UCLA, New Mexico, San Diego State and Creighton. Wichita State was 3-0 vs. Indiana State last year.
