Edward Snowden Probably Headed For Latin America

Former U.S. intelligence agency contractor Edward Snowden may have finally found a new home after Bolivian President Evo Morales said on Saturday he would grant asylum, if requested.

The offer comes days after two other leftist Latin American leaders – ’s Nicolas Maduro and ’s Daniel Ortega – also said they would help the U.S. fugitive. And although Morales and Ortega were cautios with their offers, Maduro stated tha his country would be proud “to protect this young man from the persecution unleashed by the world’s most powerful empire,” reports the New York Times.
