Familiar Sights and Sounds

Do you ever get the feeling that the world is stuck in an endless loop? I’m not talking about something as obvious as the calendar constantly turning over or even that old saying that claims people who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. I’m thinking about entertainment like going to the movies, listening to tunes, or even casino online gambling.

Have you seen the box office listings lately? It’s like a poor approximation of 22 years ago. With Total Recall and another Batman installment, audiences find themselves either impressed or convinced that Hollywood has run out of ideas. It’s like they aren’t even going to pretend. Hopefully the popcorn isn’t half as stale as the scripts. At least the special effects are more impressive.

If you turn on a radio, or the modern internet or satellite equivalent, don’t be shocked when you find yourself bombarded with tons of synthesizers right out of the 80s. Aren’t Katy Perry and Lady Gaga the new Madonna and Cyndi Lauper anyway? Perhaps that’s backwards or they are all rolled into one. Either way you can probably see at least one of them in Vegas in twenty years, unless the future is all about casino online gambling..

The rise of casino online gambling shouldn’t be ignored. It’s like a rehash of the past, but delivered in a more convenient futuristic package, just like everything else these days in an iPad world.

While facebook and twitter are definitely new inventions, they can actually be windows to recycled pop culture history. Whenever some celebrity dies, there are a million tweets and postings within seconds. I guess people still need to celebrate and mourn. Now it’s all about enjoying casino online gambling and watching classic music videos on YouTube. It’s surely a sign of the times if there ever was one.
