After several months of rumors, it seems that a new entry in the God of War franchise is finally coming: Amazon added a product listing for a new God of War game.
God of War: Ascension, as Sony is calling it, is on the way, and will be released on PlayStation 3 at some point next year.
Not a whole lot was revealed in Amazon’s product listing, and Sony wasn’t willing to share very much in the way of details themselves.
According to the PlayStation Blog, Sony and the devs plan to kick off a live stream on April 30. It’s not clear whether or not any gameplay will be shown on the stream, but the post promises us a “glimpse of what’s in store for God of War: Ascension.”
Sony also released the game’s debut teaser trailer. Aside from letting us know that the game will be a prequel.
