Tina Turner No Longer American

What’s love got to do with it? Turns out that absolutely nothing as Tina Turner decided she is done with America.

The pop legend has decided to become a citizen of Switzerland, where she’s been living since 1995, giving up her US citizenship in the process.

“I’m very happy in Switzerland,” she explained to a German-language paper, according to the AFP. “I cannot imagine a better place to live.”

The 73-year-old has already passed the requisite civics test and interview to make the switch, but still needs approval from the canton of Zurich and federal authorities.
