Cameron Douglas Got His Ass Kicked In Jail
Cameron Douglas, Michael Douglas’ 34-year-old drug-dealing son, suffered a nasty injury in prison that looks like the result of “prison justice”
According to reports, Douglas showed up at the prison sick bay with a broken finger and a broken femur—but a femur “is hard to snap, and [he] had to have a rod inserted,” says an unnamed source. Douglas claimed he was hurt playing handball, but “you don’t break a femur playing handball.” A crime-family captain placed a $100 bounty on Douglas in the Pennsylvania prison for being a snitch, the source says.
What got it started? Douglas’ psychiatrist said during a bail hearing in 2010 that Douglas had testified against his suppliers, Mexican immigrant brothers named Eduardo and David Escalera. Now Douglas is contemplating a lawsuit against the prison doctor’s aide who misdiagnosed his broken leg as a sprain; a blood clot developed, and he’s still walking on crutches.
As a side not, sources say Douglas has “gone gangster,” bulking up and getting a tattoo for each year in jail. He’s serving nearly 10 years for dealing crystal meth and later smuggling drugs behind bars.
